A trial is not required but is recommended.
What is included in the trial?
A hair and makeup trial includes one look for hair and one look for makeup. We will make any necessary adjustments to find the exact look you want.
How soon should I book my consultation/trial?
We recommend you book your trial 3-4 months before your wedding day.
Where does the trial take place and how long does it typically take?
Since we are an on-location company we don’t have a retail location. We will travel to you for the trial or we can host the trial at a salon in Broomall, PA. A hair and makeup trial has a duration of 2 hours.
How should I prepare for my hair or makeup appointment?
Please have clean, dry, blowdried hair for the best results. Also have a makeup-free moisturized face.
What should I bring to my trial?
Bring inspiration hair and makeup pictures, any hair accessories that you may have (veil, tiara, flowers, rhinestone combs, etc.), clip-in extensions if you are using them, pictures of your dress, jewelry, flowers, venue, and bridesmaids dresses, any special cosmetic products or lipstick you use, and a friend or relative for a second opinion or ideas.
Will the stylist who does my trial be the stylist who does my wedding day?
The stylist who does your trial will be the stylist on the day of your wedding. If there is a conflict or emergency you may receive a different stylist. We take lots of pictures and notes so the stylist can replicate your look from the trial.
I have pictures of the hair/makeup I want, Can you recreate this exact look?
We will definitely recreate the look from your inspiration hair/makeup pictures to the best of our ability based on your hair type, skin tone, and features.
I’m not sure what hair/makeup look I want, can you help?
Absolutely! Our professional artists will work with you and provide you with recommendations for a look that will work best for your event.
Can my engagement session also be a trial?
We don’t recommend booking your wedding trial the same day as your engagement session. Many brides don’t want their wedding hair and makeup the same exact way on their big day and for their engagement session.
TRAVEL
Do you provide on-site services?
We are an on-location company. We travel to you and provide all of our services on-site.
How far do you travel?
We travel anywhere! We mainly travel to Bucks County, Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware. We love destination weddings!
Is there a fee for travel?
Yes, the travel fee is a small fee based on the location of the event to cover milage and parking.
GENERAL
How long will you hold my date after my initial inquiry?
Since we get dozens of inquiries everyday we can’t hold your date with just an inquiry. All events are secured with a contract and deposit.
When should I book?
We recommend booking your event 6-12 months in advance. We book up fast, especially during the more popular months of May, June, August, September, and October.
How do I book with ANF Hair Designs?
We require a contract and deposit to reserve your event date.
Is there a minimum required for booking?
We don’t require a minimum of services for booking.
I’m having a small intimate wedding, can I still book?
Definitely!
What if I have a large bridal party?
We are fully staffed with a team of talented artists. We can handle large bridal parties. The more the merrier!
What if I need only hair or only makeup, not both?
You can certainly book hair or makeup services separately. We don’t require both services to book.
Will you bring additional artists? Does that cost extra?
The number of artists assigned to your event depend on how many people getting services done. There isn’t an additional fee unless you request more artists than required.
How many artists will be booked for my wedding day?
Once we receive the final count for services we will assign the artists. A typical wedding has 2-3 artists assigned.
Do you have an assistant fee?
There is a $125 assistant fee. An assistant may be required depending on the total number of guests getting services done and the time they need to be finished by.
Why does the bride cost more than a bridesmaid?
A bride requires more time and attention.
Do you offer discounts?

CONTRACT
Can I make changes to my contract once it’s signed?
Yes, the final count for services must be received 60 days prior to the event date. At that time services may be reduced or added.
Am I responsible if someone in my bridal party backs out at the last minute?
Yes, you may have another person take their place for services.
Why can’t I delete services and receive a refund?
We schedule our stylists in advance to work your event date. Each stylist is dedicated to your event and is assured a certain amount of services per event. This is why deleting services last minute or 60 days before the event is not permitted.
What if someone decides on the day of the event they would also like their makeup done?
We will add services on the day of the event if time allows.
PAYMENT
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Paypal or Venmo for the deposit and at the trial. We only accept cash on the day of the event.
When is my full balance due?
The deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event.
Do you accept separate payments from bridesmaids?
Yes!
Is gratuity included?
Gratuity isn’t included.
What is the best way to handle gratuity?
As you would in a salon, it’s suggested that you tip your artists at least 18-20% of your service fee.
WEDDING DAY
How does a normal morning/day unfold?
Our team arrives and sets up hair and makeup stations along with lighting. After we set up, we follow the wedding day itinerary that we created for hair and makeup services to ensure everyone gets done on time.
What do I need to bring on the day of the wedding?
You don’t have to bring anything on the day of the wedding. We will bring the salon experience to you. We come equipped with all of our hair tools and makeup kits.
How long does hair and makeup take on the day of the wedding?
A typical bridal party requires 4-5 hours. Each party is unique. However, we will work with your timeline to make sure everyone gets finished on time.
Will you create a schedule?
Yes, we will create an itinerary for the day of the wedding.
When will I receive the wedding day timeline?
You will receive your wedding day itinerary 30 days prior to the wedding.
Do you offer touch-ups before the ceremony?
Yes, we do offer touch-ups. Touch-ups are $75/hr. Check out our bridal packages which include touch-ups.
Can I hire your for touch-ups throughout the event?
Yes, we are available to stay during the event for touch-ups.
Do you have any tips for touch-ups throughout the day/night?
We recommend a lipstick for touch-ups, that’s the only thing that won’t last all night since you will be eating and drinking. Blotting sheets are great in case you get oily throughout the day. Also, have some hairspray or texturizing spray on hand if you need to refresh your curls.
What happens if one of your artists get ill and can’t come?
Don’t worry! We will still come to provide the services. We have a large team of artists so we have our basis covered.
HAIR & MAKEUP
Does ANF Hair Designs do airbrush makeup?
We do offer airbrush makeup!
What is the benefit of airbrush makeup?
Airbrush makeup provides a flawless lightweight finish. It’s waterproof and lasts up to 12 hours.
What is the difference between airbrush and traditional makeup?
Airbrush makeup is applied with an airbrush gun and air compressor. It’s applied in thin layers which provides an even and smooth finish. The flawless finish helps even out the skin and cover blemishes without weighing it down. Traditional makeup is a liquid, cream, or powder applied with a brush or sponge. It has a thicker consistency and provides a light to full coverage.
Do you recommend I use traditional or airbrush makeup?
Majority of our brides opt for the airbrush makeup because of the longevity and flawless coverage.
Do I need a makeup artist?
Absolutely! Our artists apply your makeup with techniques and tricks to make it perfect for photography. We have professional products that last throughout the day. On the day of your wedding you should be relaxed as possible.
What makeup products do you use?
We use many different makeup brands in our kit. Some of the brands we use are Mac, Smashbox, Jane Iredale, Bobbi Brown, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Too Faced, Temptu, Clinique, Inglot, Tarte, It Cosmetics, and Jeffree Star.
Do you do tattoo coverups?
Yes, we offer tattoo coverups.
Do you provide services for all skin types and colors?
We have a full kit that is suitable for all skin types and colors. We have experience working with all ethnicities.
Do you do hair extensions?
Yes! We have many options for hair extensions. We offer clip-ins, tape-ins, halos, and ponytails. Please contact us for a consultation.
What are the benefits of the Bridal Bliss Package vs a la carte options?
The Bridal Bliss Package includes a Hair & Makeup Trial, Engagement or Boudoir Hair & Makeup, and Wedding Day Hair & Makeup. You can experience these services at a discounted rate versus purchasing them a la carte.
